To the left is an excerpt from the cover of a publication put out after the 250th anniversary in 1885. Inside are the transcriptions of the orations described.In the index of the above book are letters from alumni that could not attend for various reasons. Some of the graduates date almost to the 18th century.
The letter to the right is from Charles Winthrop (1921) who is "obliged to avoid night air and crowded assemblies."
Some like Henry Kemble Oliver (1811) wrote their notes in Latin. (I'll need some help with this one.) Here is a book I belive to be by the same author.
